Description

Rhizome shortly creeping; rhizome scales filiform brown-rusty scales. Fronds dimorphic, up to 60 cm long, fertile pinnae erect, longer than sterile pinnae. Stipe sterile frond c. 20 cm, fertile frond 12-30 cm; pale straw-coloured when dry, grooved on the back, with long curled or pale hair, clothed with silk. Lamina sterile frond oblong-deltoid in outline, c. 23x17 cm; fertile frond deltoid in outline, tripinnatifid, both surfaces set with hairs, below with shiny pale gold dots; pinnae of fertile fronds 6-10-jugate, subsessile or very shortly petiolulate; segments obtuse, more or less attached to the upper ones running down slightly; margins intact; the last fertile pinnules narrow, close to the base of the sterile pinnules, the sterile part surpassing.
